The journal in MT4 (automatic)
- Every trade is saved with a screenshot when it opens and when it closes, an automatic note with the details, and a line in a CSV file.
- On the panel, click JOURNAL, then the tabs TRADES, WEEK and MONTH. Click < TRADE to go back.
- Files: File > Open Data Folder > MQL4 > Files > DG_Journal. They stay on your computer. Back up this folder if you change computer.
The journal on this website (by hand)
- Your dashboard has a simple journal you fill in yourself: result in R, whether you followed your rules, and how you felt. It helps you see patterns, for example that trades taken when impatient break your rules more often.
- It is not linked to MT4. Nothing is copied from the panel.
